I am trying a home undertone check and need a sensible photo routine. My camera keeps adjusting the image before I can compare anything fairly. The setup will be one uncluttered spot with indirect natural light. I am planning plain camera settings with no flash and no enhancement modes. I am considering a neutral card in the photo so the light has a visible reference. I would rather collect two comparable sessions than chase a quick answer. A skin undertone test camera could help me remember the steps while I keep the final judgement open. I know a phone image cannot replace seeing colours in person. I plan to keep dated notes so a later impression does not rewrite the earlier one. How do you keep your phone from changing the comparison halfway through? I am hoping to keep the process accessible and repeatable. I will use the same setup again before I compare the images with anyone else. I would appreciate lessons learned from a real home setup.
